Lectrosonics DCHT Overview
Designed for broadcast, film, and television production, the Lectrosonics DCHT is a wireless digital camera hop transmitter offering a reliable wireless connection between a bag- or cart-based audio system and cameras/recorders. This UHF transmitter tunes in coarse or fine increments from 470.1 to 607.95 MHz, and utilizes 256-bit encryption for secure signal transmission. With three selectable levels of RF power (10, 25, or 50mW) and a DSP-controlled input limiter, the DCHT delivers strong, clear, distortion-free audio.
Also contributing to its solid sonic performance is its preamplifier, which accommodates lavalier/dynamic mics or line-level inputs, and provides up to 51 dB of gain in 1 dB steps. The TA6M input jack accepts two channels of analog mic-/line-level signal or a stereo AES3 digital feed via an array of cable adapters (available separately).
The DCHT boasts up to five hours of battery life via two AA batteries (available separately) safely held in place by a latching aluminum battery door. External DC powering is possible through the LTBATELIM adapter (available separately). The DCHT’s rugged housing is constructed from solid machined aluminum coated in an ultra-hard electroless nickel finish. A detachable wire belt clip allows the DCHT to be easily affixed for versatile positioning.
- Tunes in coarse or fine steps across entire UHF frequency range from 470.1 to 607.95 MHz
- 256-bit encryption (AES 256-CTR) for applications with high-level security
- Selectable RF power at 10, 25, or 50mW
- TA6M jack accepts two mic- or line-level analog signals, or a 2-channel AES3 digital feed via a variety of adapter cables (available separately)
- Analog inputs can be linked for identical gain when used with a stereo source, or operate independently with individual settings
- Input gain is adjustable over a 51 dB range in 1 dB steps to allow an exact match to the input signal level, maximizing the dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio
- Accommodates lavalier microphones, dynamic microphones, or line-level signals
- Side-panel USB port for easy firmware updates
- Compatible with Duet M2R receiver
- Third-generation digital architecture with high-efficiency digital circuitry yields extended operating time on two AA batteries (available separately)
- May be powered via an external DC power supply using the Lectrosonics LTBATELIM adapter (available separately), which replaces the battery door and provides a locking coaxial connector
- Programmable switch can be configured as a mute switch, a power on/off switch, or be bypassed
- Red/green LEDs provide audio level indications from -20 dB to the onset of limiting for each channel
- Solid machined aluminum housing finished with a dark, ultra-hard, electroless nickel finish
- Secure stainless spring-wire belt clip is easily removed and attached without tools (alternative spring-loaded belt clip available separately)
- Machined aluminum battery door is hinged to the housing, and latches securely to prevent accidental opening even if the DCHT is dropped
- Set up and adjustments are easily accessible through a backlit LCD, membrane switches, and an intuitive menu structure
