The Lectrosonics RPS4 provides a highly reliable dual power source for four, 12 VDC low-voltage devices such as wireless microphone receivers, IEM transmitters, IFB transmitters, and audio signal processing equipment such as the Venue, Venue 2, Duet M2T, and the IFBT4.
The RPS4 features two power supplies and two temperature-controlled fans configured in a “failover” mode for installed sound systems used in live sound, theater, and broadcast applications. If one supply fails, the other immediately replaces it to continue operation without interruption. Each 12V tap provides up to 1.5A.
The 1 RU chassis allows for easy rack or cart installation, eliminating the need for a separate power strip with individual “wall warts” or “boa-style” power supplies for each low-voltage device. Power cables from the RPS4 to the devices can be securely routed to prevent inadvertent disconnects and free up space on power strips in the equipment rack. The LZR-type DC power connectors are threaded and lock for reliability.
The front panel includes a rocker-type power switch and two LEDs that indicate the status of the power supplies. The LEDs glow blue in normal operation and blink red when a supply is inoperative.
Individual 2A automotive-type blade fuses protect each 12V tap from overload or direct short. A fuse carrier on the back panel lets you store a spare fuse. The unit can be powered by 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Output DC ripple is less than 20mV. The unit includes two 12″ and two 18″ DC supply cables.
