Grass Valley LDX 86N UNIVERSE Overview
Native HD/3G/4K Single-speed Camera with 3X (3G/HD) & 6X (HD) High Frame Rate Capture
With the LDX 86N Universe system camera, you no longer need to choose between a higher frame rate like 6X, or higher resolution for 4K UHD — you can have it all in a single camera, with native 4K UHD, 3G and HD. You can even upgrade to LDX 86N Universe features from other LDX 86N Series cameras when you need to, on a 1-day, 7-day or perpetual basis. This native multiformat (HD/3G/4K UHD) and multispeed (1X/3X/6X) content acquisition system is based on the new 3840x2160p 4K XensiumHAWK CMOS imager with a unique pixel technology called DPMUltra (dynamic pixel management) functionality to provide outstanding native 4K UHD, 3G and HD image performance, with the ability to use standard HD lenses.
Broadcasters and content creators can use the same workflows they use for HD, while delivering the best HD/3G high-speed slow-motion or 4K viewing experience possible. XDR — Extended Dynamic Range — operation (HDR with up to 15 F-stops or >800% of regular cameras) is available for all 50/59.94 Hz formats offering a new level of viewer experience. You also get extended color gamut supporting ITU-R BT.2020.
